To avoid unnecessary climbing, we parked at the Hillend Snowsport Scotland ski centre car park (no charge). We took the path accessed via the overflow car park. Then headed up the well defined track. Taken the walk from Flotterstone to Glencorse Reservoir with my two boys age 4 and 7. Retinred via loop via Castlelaw. Beautiful views, plenty of amazing places to stop. Today was cold with a biting wind, not ideal for washing the car or gardening but great for walking if you have the right gear. I was here on a class trip, and although it was February we got a great day for it. There are varying difficulties of walks, so would suit all expertise levels, from the casual stroller to those who want something more energetic. The views from the top of the hilss are spectacular.
If you love the great outdoors this is definitely for you,Wether you go for a stroll or want something a bit more active,We went with my 5 yr old nephew and rather old dog so were just taking it leisurely,Magnificent views and if you get good weather could have a lovely day.
