We normally start our walk from just opposite the Harbour Inn where the Bogey Line ends. This line was where the granite was brought down from the quarries to the harbour for shipment. It is a steep climb and can be wet under foot. Having got to the top of the line the trail continues past a still operating quarry... 更多
This walk starts off at Newcastle harbour. It's a fairly straight and somewhat strenuous track to the top along he old gurney track. This means it's quite a straight walk. Once at the top you can choose to carry on over the stile and visit Thomas's Quarry for some breathtaking views of Newcastle. There's also a waterfall here which in... 更多
Actually, we went a longer trails than the Granite trail, but the parts we went were really nice. At the highest point you have a very nice view over all the Newcastle area including the ocean.

The trail starts across the road from Newcastle Harbour and takes you directly up a long, straight and quite steep path that was the original Boogy line for the Quarry Industry many years ago. At the top you can follow the trail across to a still worked... 更多
Easy parking at the harbour. I can't believe that I diddent know about this walk. I could really feel the burn on the leg muscles going up, but not to worry, it was ballenced out by the walk back down again. The scenery is wonderful and the points of interest added to the enjoyment. I want to try it again... 更多
