Beautiful cathedral & cemetery. Visit the visitor center first for the video presentation. There is a fee, but very worth while to clearly understand the prominence & history of St. Patrick...patron Saint of Ireland. Hence St. Patrick's day!!!!! Then visit the cathedral & grave site of St. Patrick. Very nice restrooms here & loads of souvenirs. They are collecting funds... 更多

Spent an hour or so going around reading and using the information guide. would recommend a visit more than once local or tourist. a beautiful tranquil church and visited St Patricks grave
Visit for the graves (a nice bookend to all the other information you learn about St. Patrick while visiting Ireland) but don't forget to stop in the church! it's a nice chapel and there are also some historical pieces inside. they had a flag from what US citizens would call the Revolutionary War. I just visited with friends (no tour... 更多
Great views and fantastic for taking photographs! A lot smaller inside than expected but well worth a visit. St Patrick's Grave is smaller and more subtle than expected but definitely worth seeing. The building itself is stunning
A visit to Ireland would not be complete without a visit to Downpatrick Cathederal. The burial ground of Saint Patrick Irelands patron saint. The tombstone is accessable up a few steps but would be difficult for physically challenged. The Cathederal is open most dasy until around 4pom. There are many other St Patrick sights such as Saul church about 10... 更多
As a lover of old cemeteries and graves, this was a thrill! Respects were paid to St Patrick, who is believed to be buried the grounds of Down Cathedral. Overlooking the quaint town, the Cathedral also boasts a 10-ft Old Cross. It was an honor to pay respect and visit this historic attraction.
We happened across the cathedral as we were on our way to another place... and only stopped because St Patrick is reportedly buried there. But what we found was so much more than just a graveyard. A wonderfully restored Cathedral, beautifully appointed and great history. worth a visit.
Purported to be the grave of St Patrick. It is located in a small gaveyard at the Cathedral. Its also worth seeing some of the older gavestones which date back to the 1600s. Its a little bit of a steep walk up. The gaveyard is free to visit; however, the Cathedral is not free.
