We were here on a mini pilgrimage - from Saul to Downpatrick Cathedral. This is a most impressive venue. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the self-guided tour through the building is excellent, with top quality AV throughout. We had lunch in the upstairs cafe - or rather in the beautiful gardens outside. The soup was very... 更多
We went to information Center first thing when we arrived in Downpatrick. The staff were extremely helpful in giving information and resources to help us. They also pointed us in the right direction to find what we were looking for. Go there first to make your time there better.
Visited coffee shop here on a recent trip to Downpatrick. Lovely location upstairs (but wheelchair accessible) looking out onto a beautiful garden through which you can climb up to the Cathedral - also well worth a visit. We had lovely coffee and delicious home made scones.
We visited this centre in August and were impressed with the standard of the presentation on St Patrick and the associated history of Ireland. Dr Tim Campbell was extremely informative and gave us a great insight into St Patrick's inlfuence on Ireland. The Centre is very well set up and has a very nice cafe where we had a lovely... 更多
Informative and great combined with tour of cathedral and alleged grave of the saints. Very nice film presentation and on site authority who was very friendly and helpful.
This is a great place for a few moments chill out time if visiting Downpatrick. Really pleasant cafe with a panoramic window looking out onto a beautifully tended garden that is set into the side of the hilltop which sits the cathedral. My visit here was by chance having taken some time out on a Sunday afternoon after work to... 更多
We really enjoyed our visit and learned a lot about his life and times and writings - some people strolled through and didn't look at the videos etc - we did and it was worthwhile
Well documented and informative exhibition and travelogue on the life of St Patrick. Went to see the grave at Down Cathedral and then walked down to the centre.
The museum is a must see location in Northern Ireland. The exhibit tells the story of St Patrick and of christian history in Ireland.
I popped in here with 3 teenagers while visiting the area and we all enjoyed drinks and food served by friendly staff, some with special needs which really impressed me and was very heartening to see. Lovely gift shop with good quality products.
