The nicer the weather, the better this walk around the lake would be. But we get what we get. Can park in a large car park opposite the Snowdon railway. £7 for full day. Really liked the pools at the end of the lake nearest the slate museum. Beautiful colours and reflections in the stillness of the water.
Having set off just to walk to the end and back, we kept going all the way round.
Although mostly flat, the back section is quite hilly on a road and some of the section back down through the woods to the Quarry Hospital requires some fitness. All told though very enjoyable.
Parked in a well desiged car park by the lake with plenty of trees and bushes to soften the effect of cars. There is a childrens play area. Plenty of benches to sit in awe of the view of the surrounding mountains and the ever changing scenery as the clouds go over.

We went to the slate museum when we had been there we went on the lake with a Crouse on the Snowdonia star it was very good with a running commentary pointing out things of interest we where lucky to see the summit of Snowdon the cruise last about 45 minutes
