We took a waymarker route for 2 and a half hours and hardly saw a soul. We took the yello footprint route and were treated to a moderate walk with lovely views. And, we had it all to ourselves!
Just great for all the family. Have been camping and holidaying in the area for years and love being in the forest so much. Smells so fresh and clean. The paths are signposted but not that great in places, but plenty of paths to follow. Amazing stream and waterfall there too. Hidden gem. We always walk up the Llyn Parc... 更多
Walked the 10km route with my 14 month old dog, on a lovely clear December day. Beautiful scenery all along the route, which took us on narrow pathways along the river as well as wide forest roads along the lake. The route appeared to be clearly marked although I think we somehow missed a bit! Would highly recommend it. Seemed... 更多
We walked into the forest having parked in Llanrwst. The only criticism we have is that the layout of the walks can be quite confusing. We completed the walk marked with black footprints on the marker posts, and then joined the yellow footprint walk. Unfortunately, we reached a point where you could go in any of three directions, but there... 更多
This is a great place to get away from some of the more popular walking areas in North Wales. We made two walks both in the forest and round the lakes. Thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Downside is that the signage could be improved both within the forest and in the car park. Good job we had our OS map... 更多
Wonderful area for walking, our favourite place is overlooking lake Elsi at the top of the mountain behind Saint Mary's church. The walk is all uphill and takes about 3 hours there and back but take a picnic and enjoy the view as you eat. WONDERFUL!!
Was I in Gwydir? I was definitely hiring a mountain bike from Peter in Beddgelert at Beddgelert Bikes on tel 01766890434 and trailing through Forest Trails with Snowdon's Peak and ZigZag path often insight. Don't be put off with your first half an hour you'll soon get your second wind!
Went up to Llyn Elsi which was a steep climb but the Llyn [lake] was beautiful and worth the climb. Family groups went up this walk and the children seemed to copoe with the steep climb.
This is a prettu undiscovered area of Snowdonia, with lots of walks and trails which, other than the walk to Swallow Falls and the Ugly House, seem to be rarely used. The book of walks is now out of print, and the area would definitely benefit from a reprint. We were given directions from our landlady, but driving through noticed... 更多
