If you want to see these falls, the best way is to hike up to them or drive, park, and then walk. From the mountain railway, even though the train is moving at a slower speed, it passes by quick, and you don't get a chance to really enjoy this piece of nature.
Good stop to get out of the car after driving all day. We had to get change for the turnstile. We snacked when we got to a bench near the falls. Nice view.
Had a lovely afternoon here with a lovely walk to see the falls and ate here twice being at the camp site up the road and loved the cafe. Dog friendly too
Stopped on our way from a disappointing trip to Bala. It made the day worthwhile. We went to the cafe first (nice strong proper ground coffee) which allows you to then avoid the £1per person turnstile fee. Bargain! fab place we always visit its very relaxing and peaceful can get wet when in winter with the rain and current of the water is much stronger - but always visit, wish the money system was easier
Very enjoyable and relatively easy short circular walk with good views of falls which were flowing well after heavy rainfall. Not sure what the £1.00 entry fee is spent on though; definitely not on cleaning up the copious quantities of dogs' mess on the paths and probably not enough on improving the cliff top fencing (as witnessed by the inevitable... 更多
