Great walk with my nephew after the rains, the streams were running wild, good for dogs, short or a long walk can be made, cafe in the park after your walk.
A huge variation of different areas are hidden into this park, with rivers and streams and a deeper wooded area called the Hollies accessible from here (which has tennis courts free to play). Mystical wooded areas to chill out in.
I love Meanwood Valley trail. It's not as busy as Golden Acre or Roundhay so it's a far more relaxing walk. You can make it as long or as short as you like and the park is lovely for kids.
The Meanwood valley trail starts near hyde park in leeds, near Leeds university and ends in golden acre park, outside the city. I have almost completed the whole trail over a period of weeks. I love Meanwood Park and take the dogs all the time. There is a little car park and a cafe. Cafe is very reasonably priced and has nice cakes.
