This is a great little museum to visit for an hour or so. We went during the half term so it was quite busy, if you can, visit during term time! One of Chichester's appeals is that it's a wonderful place to visit. It's compact and layered with a treasure trove of history. I really enjoyed the exhibition and learned lots that I hadn't known before. The only downside is the dreadful blue lighting (it might create atmosphere but makes it difficult to read) and the too-loud music. If it wasn't for that I would have given it five stars.
Fascinating museum in the centre of Chichester - good Tim Peake exhibition - informative and interesting. mADE AN EFFORT AS gRAND DAUGHTER WAS STUDYING. Romans at primary school. It was lacking lustre. In this day an age it was in fact Boring... We spent a sad 15 minutes in the building. Tim Peake exhibition is well worth a visit. Our son was particularly impressed with this. A good mix of interactive activities as well as information on screens & boards. Good view of the cathedral (although it was very foggy on day we visited,. Also the Roman remains on the ground floor were interesting. Well worth a visit.
Loved finding out about the history of Chichester. Loved the artifacts & the way the whole thing is put together, especiall the old, exposed Roman walls it was all build on top of 7 that you can see inside the museum. Well worth a visit, though we were surprised that it was not clear that it was on the top floor. For those interested in space exploration there was a good amount to see, and we enjoyed our time.
