Arundel Castle is one of the finest castles we have visited. The parking lot is located right across the entrance. At the ticket office, you get to choose from various entry packages starting with Bronze (£9), which grants you access to the shop, cafe and restaurant, the chapel, gardens and grounds. Upgrade to the Silver (£11 for adults) to also... 更多
18 pound for a ticket i think its a lot but its beautiful, great gardens around, beautiful views everywhere you look, easy access from the train station.
Home of the Duke of Norfolk and his descendants. Quite a bit of walking involved so wear sensible footwear. Several levels on entry pricing and we went for gold plus that gets you everywhere. It's not cheap. All the rooms in the Castle available for you to visit very good and there are people in every room to answer your... 更多
I realise that many people gripe about the admission price and consider this castle to be over-valued. They also object to the various categories of ticket, Gold, Gold Plus etc. However, there is a reduction for English Heritage members (perhaps not adequately advertised), and as a Senior I bought a ‘Gold Plus’ ticket giving access to everything for £13.50, which... 更多
Well worth a day, especially when the gardens are blooming. The castle itself is also impressive - we got the "Gold" ticket which gave access to the main rooms as well. Expensive, but worth it! Great photo ops all around the grounds.
After I had read the leaflet checking that it did not say NO dogs, and could not find the price, but most castles etc. in the area were about £8- £10. We set off only to find that it was £19.50 each for entry and dogs were not allowed. I do not expect to take a dog into any homes... 更多
A long awaited visit and we were certainly not disappointed. The gardens are glorious and a wonderful walk around on a sunny day. It is well worth paying a little extra for a gold plus ticket which gives access to more of the inner castle - still a private residence. Hats off to the friendly and knowledgable staff on hand... 更多
A very impressive castle when travelling towards Arundel, sitting overlooking the whole area. Parking across from the castle was good, a 2 minute walk away. The Castle did not disappoint in any way. Visitor routes well laid out with so much inside to see. All of the staff we spoke to were very knowledgeable about the history and the modern... 更多
This castle is very beautiful and so well maintained! It is not part of the English Heritage (that is a pity!) but it is still worth the visit. The structure and the various rooms were very interesting and the gardens are magical, especially when the 18000 tulips are blossomed :)
We took our friends from Edinburgh last Friday - they gave one son aged nearly 5. My wife is in a wheelchair but nothing was too much trouble , a buggy was available to take us all from entrance to the castle from there we changed into a narrower chair in order to fit into the Victorian lift , all... 更多
We visited Arundel Castle for the first time and can safely say was the best day out we've had in a long time. Entry Prices are very reasonable for what's involved, well work the upgrade on the ticket to go and see the Royal Bedrooms. No photos are allowed to be taken in the Royal Bedrooms due to security issues,... 更多
This is what you expect a castle to look like!! great views, fantastic history . The gardens are great and if you catch them at the right time you can see the many fruits and vegetables that are grown on site . The chapel is lovely and again filled with History .
Saw this majestic castle off the A27 on the way from Portsmouth to Brighton... and since the Harry Potter studio tour was fully booked for the week I was in England, decided to back track from Brighton to Arundel to check out a real castle that looks like the one you see in the movies / fairy tales. The main... 更多
Highly interesting Castle and fantastic gardens with a stumpery and tulips of an extraordinary quality. The staff were so helpful as we had our elderly mother with us - we took the buggy to the castle and back to the gardens - staff made us so welcome.
