Visited yesterday, had a great day , even though it was freezing cold .Such a great selection of aircraft on display. Loads to see and read. Entrance was £7 which was very fair. Also had some lunch , sandwich was good and again reasonably priced. The volunteers were really good and knowledgeable would recommend
Although we live in Coventry, I have never been and was surprised by the amount to see. It was very quiet on the day of our visit and for the majority of our time, we were the only ones there. I loved the meteor, and sitting in the cockpit, and the vulcan was amazing. I have seen them flying before... 更多
The Vulcan Bomber is definitely the star of the show and I'm sure the lovely man who showed us the cockpit doesnt realise just how happy he made me! Along with the Vulcan we went into another cargo plane and the separated cockpit of what looked to be an airliner. We had 3 children and in the airliner and Vulcan... 更多
I've taken my kids here several times and they've enjoyed it immensely. My parents also enjoyed their visit so it caters to all ages. The highlight for my Dad and my son was climbing up the ladder into the cockpit of a Vulcan! There's plenty to see and touch to keep kids occupied. Free parking and a nice little coffee... 更多
We saw the museum in passing on the way to the Flight Simulator experience, which is only 100 meters away. At £7 entrance fee, we found it good value for money. A large hanger indoors, with a 1st floor display too, followed by plenty more outside was a delight to walk around. There is a small cafe available too. Anyone... 更多
I found my vist to the air museum very interesting. If you have a guide they tell you some interesting facts. You also get a chance to sit in some of the old airplane. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have been on more than one occasion and would recommend it, if you are interested in old airplanes.
Just on the outskirts of Coventry; this is an excellent museum with the centre piece being the Vulcan bomber. There is also a very informative Sir Frank Whittle exhibition and various ongoing restorations. I even discovered a Ginetta GRS waiting to be restored.
I went to this museum when I turned up early for a flight simulator experience next door to it. The museum features many retired military aircraft and 2 of which you can go in the cockpit of, the first was the meteor which you don't need supervision to go in, the other was the mighty Vulcan bomber however you did... 更多
Working in the area, decided i'd travel up the day before, and check out the museum, what can i say, lots of really interesting exhibits, fantastic staff, most which wanted to show me the inside of the vulcan, i think in 2 hours i got 4 offers of a cockpit visit. Now thats good. Plenty of exhibits and I am told... 更多
Well worth a visit, lots of very interesting exhibits and many which you can get in yourself. The staff on hand really seem to care about the aircraft and knowing as much as they can about them and how they were flown in service so ask as many questions as you can and you'll be sure to find the answer!... 更多
