Try the old Cathedral behind the statue and drop in the Establishment for a coffee meal or a drink -. The Herbert Art gallery and Transport Museum are both free and also worth a visit.

Pleasantly amused to find lady Godiva in the heart of Coventry. The statue is smack bang in the modern town centre. Nice to take some photos of this icon.
It is a statue of Lady Godiva. It tells the story. It use to be covered with a tent-like structure. Nearby to the statue's left is a clock that on the hour has Lady Godiva ride out and Peeping Tom look. It needs work to fix the mechanism.
I didn't realize that Coventry was home to the Lady Gadiva legend until I saw the statue to her located in the main town square. There is also a very large clock that gives a tribute to the legend every hour. There are shops, eating places and park benches to enjoy in the large open square.
