We visited Stoneleigh Abbey for Festive Tea on a Groupon offer. The conservatory is cold in the winter and so the Festive Tea was moved to the Vaulted Hall Tearoom, which is under the main staircase of the house entrance. The Vaulted Hall is a beautiful example of a vaulted room and is warm and roomy, which is nice as... 更多
Having purchased afternoon festive tea vouchers which implied a festive based tea in the orangery we were surprised to be directed to an undercroft down some steps with only high windows giving us no view of the grounds. The tea was a round of sandwiches of smoked salmon, ham, cheese and onion and tuna and cucumber, a piece of toffee... 更多
My sister and I enjoyed afternoon tea within Stoneleigh Abbey. The staff were very attentive and personable and the afternoon tea plentiful. However the room decorated for Christmas could do with an update and some money spending on their Christmas decorations which compare poorly with the building and grounds. Very little has been spent on the interior design of the... 更多
I kindly received a voucher for my birthday for an afternoon tea at Stoneleigh Abbey. We made our way down to the Vault Cafe and was happily greeted by a gentleman, who we later found out to be the manager. He was so lovely and polite and talked to us about the history of the Abbey. We then had a... 更多
Just been back to Stoneleigh Abbey to walk around its grounds in the winter. The walk was wonderful and invigorating views great.Finished with hot chocolate drinks in vault ed hall. House tours not available this time of the year but had a great time. Will be back again.
We were expecting a historic abbey but there is none there, just the remains of one now a ticket office and gift shop. The grounds are ok, there were lots of arrows in the woods pointing towards a viewpoint which didn't lead to one. The place is quite pretty but I would only recommend coming if you have a car... 更多
Had read previous reviews and decided to have a look, the grounds and gardens were nice although not much colour - except for the leaves - due to the season would be worth another visit during the summer. Had an brilliant well informed guided tour of the rooms that were open to the public, our guide knew his history and... 更多
I took a friend to Stoneleigh for a cream tea followed by a tour of the house. The tea was beautifully presented, tasty and we were waited on by a lovely, friendly young lady. Paul, our guide round the house was fantastic; informative, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Easily the best tour we have had.
Found this on the off chance when looking for something to do with the grand children. Nice place to walk round and tea room not to expensive
