The new exhibition after Side's re-opening really takes advantage of the increased space. It's an excellent exhibition called Childhoods. There is so much to see, I'm going to have to call in again. Spread over two floors are some of the most thought provoking images I have come across in year. Beautiful synchronised photos show an individual and his bedroom; the story they tell can funny , but the ones that stick are where a child is forced to construct his own bed in the worse of situations. Visited to see the negatives that had recently been discovered of life in the north east - this was my fist visit and have been back several times since. We regularly call in as all of the exhibitions are great, nicely displayed and the staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions.
Have been here loads of times over the years and every time there is something memorable and though provoking to see.
