A tranquil and very pretty botanical retreat tucked away in Victoria Park. Ideal for a quiet rendezvous, a family picnic or just a walk alone amongst the well landscaped and very varied plantings. Not pretentious, very natural, ntious, well laid out and with connecting paths. Good signage a bonus. Easily reached by bus plus plenty of parking.
In a city where most of the other attractions cost money this is not only free but one of the best things we did. Take an hour to walk into the park past the lake and into the botanical gardens. So much variety and little secrets

If you enjoy visiting botanical gardens then definitely make your way to the gardens in Victoria Park. There are lawns to lay a blanket and relax as well as benches. Great variety of plants to see as well.
