I have very fond memories of Jolly's over the years with their lovely clothes and wonderful cosmetic department and had a list of things to buy on this visit. But as our ancient Roman friends would say ' tempus fugit', and this time we had a wheel-chair to deal with. Sadly one of the things that makes the shop so... 更多
This department store is a real joy to walk through. Main entrance on Milsom Street. Clean, tidy with a great range of lovely clothing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A real traditional store.
I would describe the food as mediocre at best, however this description slides into the 'below average' category when the price is taken in to account. £10.50 for a club sandwich which was dry and had about 10 small fires on the side which were luke warm. If I had paid a fiver I would have accepted the mediocre quality... 更多
We especially enjoyed our afternoon tea at Jolly's, it felt like such a special treat! The cakes and scones were absolutely delicious and the waitresses were all very friendly.
Dropped in for a tea and cake on the damp Sunday morning. Staff very welcoming at first but quite curt when it came to ordering (they had no idea what a Belgian Bun is - apparently it has been re-named it a Current Wheel, maybe that is due to EU regulations). Tea was OK but quite expensive for what it... 更多
I am loath to write a negative review of any establishment but I write this as I have firstly e mailed Jollys some while ago with my criticisms and have sadly not been afforded the courtesy of a reply. I had a cream tea at the Tearoom a few weeks ago - it was perfectly good and the surroundings are... 更多
Staff were surly or had a poor grasp of English, items from our order (when it arrived) were missing and random items delivered and charged to the bill. Food was ok but double the price of far better restaurants. Avoid.
Jolly's could be reviewed based on different departments within the store and should be really as it varies so much- MAC and Bobbi Brown- great- other areas- just do not show their full potential- great for ordering on the House of Fraser website and doing click and collect. The tea rooms which can be entered from their own entrance offers... 更多
I've just returned from a short break in Bath and popped into Jolly's a few times when walking past. It's in the main street so one tends to walk past quite a lot! What struck me was how clean and tidy it was - the floors were unmarked and it just felt as if the management and staff really cared... 更多
The Store feels very traditional but the products just are not what you expect for an old quaint dept store. Worth seeing if visiting Bath though.
