We came last night to watch the steel dogs had a great time, Venue is lovely, plenty of parking and clean toilets. We didn't eat but the food smelled great. Even better Steel Dogs won!!
Visited for the British figure Skating Championship. Fabulous big rinks. Great time was had by all. Friendly staff. Neither rinks are particularly cold compared to the various other rinks my daughter has skated at in the UK. Good cafe with OK food. Great location with various hotels and restaurants nearby.
I used to be a regular skater at Nottingham, but I had heard good things about Sheffield and decided to give it a go there instead. Nice little rink, parking and all the facilities. Can't fault it. Only problem was that Sheffield fans are the absolute quietest hockey fans I've ever been amongst. We could hardly get a murmur out of them even though they beat us. Very disappointing to have absolutely no atmosphere.
We were staying in Sheffield for a shopping expedition with our 14 year old granddaughters. Searching for evening entertainment, I hit upon Zoom, a parent free session at the Ice Stadium on Coleridge Road.
