Big pub with few rooms, great for meetings with friends. We had some beers and food there. However I would not have food there again. We had jacket potatoes with filling and salads. Potatoes was quite hard inside instead of fluffy, and the salad had vinegar dressing that overwhelmed all the flavors. Not very tasty.
Busy due to Degree Day celebrations but ducked in for some soup on a cold day and was served quickly. Managed a table and a couple of pints and enjoyed seeing the grads in their formal attire and colorful robes. Nice local place and not a chain pub. Would love to return for the Devon crab. Cheers!
This is an old fashioned pub in every way. Someways its good, with their extensive beer and ales range. But cleanliness of toilets doesn't seem a priority and food lacks in taste. The service was slow and the staff seem uninterested. The only reason to visit has got to be its central location and beer range.
Managed to get in and get a table on a Saturday night - Matriculation Day. Not changed much since I was here 40 years ago. Crammed with loud students, tourists and locals. Separate desk to order food which sped things up. Wide range of real ales - local and foreign. Fairly quick service with the food. Excellent quality and value.... 更多

A square piece of puff pastry with a slice of goats cheese on top, the mark was extremely dry and my carrots,... 更多
This is the second time I've visited the pub this weekend during the Oxford Open Doors event. The pub was very handy for the nearby colleges I had been visiting. It was busy but the service was swift and friendly. I was hungry but wasn't impressed by the food on neighbouring people's plates, so I decided not to try anything,... 更多
This pub is one of the many traditional pubs in Oxford. We went there with friends for drinks. I had local apple cider. It was delicious. A little crowded. Average price range. I can't say anything about the food but inside the pub there was a strong odor of food and fries which wasn't very pleasant.
Visited early evening on a Thursday in early September. Steady trade but not too busy. Had a couple of pints of Bombardier ale. The service was swift and the ale was on absolutely top form. As some reviewers have noted, there is a somewhat stale smell of cooking but I escaped it in a side room - The Wadham Room.... 更多
