Went with my 4 year old and his interest was maintained by the little game to play as you went around the house. The gardens are comparatively small but beautiful. There's a marquee to provide some covered outside eating space. They have little cars for the kids drive around in but unfortunately they had all been broken. Nice place to... 更多
Lovely house full of fascinating things, some of which were recognizable from our own memories. House staff pleasant and interesting. Tea room......far too small, not enough staff when we were there, struggled to clear tables, take food orders correctly and serve them. Soggy quiche microwaved, two bits of tomato and cucumber , lettuce leaves that should have been binned. Not... 更多
This house was only small but it was very interesting. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. A Prize find was an Iron Lung in one of the outhouses and an explanation of how Lord Nuffield manufactured them and provided them for the NHS hospitals around the nation. Well worth a visit.
Good interesting house and grounds ,was not expecting to find much about visit but was quite surprised by the amount of interesting things about the place of Lord Nuffield estate.staff very informative and helpful throughout house and I liked the way you could wander around amongst the houses items. Lord Nuffield tool wardrobe in his bedroom was quite a surprise... 更多
This is a small property by NT standards, but interesting with lots of personal possessions on display, very much a family home with an intimate feel. Enjoyed a wander round the garden in the sunshine
We had visited Waddesdon Manor the day before, so Nuffield Place was the complete opposite! A small arts and crafts house but left entirely as was during the 40s and 50s. Great attention to detail, many items of little value but great memorabilia. The staff were all fantastic, so knowledgable, enthusiastic and keen to inform. The 15 min talk on... 更多
This house is lovely and you half expect the owners to come walking through the door! The gardens are a joy to explore. It's not at all pretentious and I like the history behind it. Well worth a visit and if you plan your day well you can visit Greys Court which is only 15 minutes away (both free if... 更多
The house has luckily survived by the skin of its teeth from being pulled down as it would have been a tragedy. The house is well furnished with Lord Nuffields own personal belongings and with enough visitors it will remain so. The house does not take a great deal of time to get around but it is well worth a... 更多
went last year and was impressed by the tour and guides, grounds looked like they were having some major input a lovely arbour being built. tearoom had some lovely seating scattered along the garden paths so you could sit in the sunshine and we sat and ate some lovely warm scones and tea that was plentiful with extra water, this... 更多
This is a fairly modest and unexpectedly small house, full of interesting things to see. It's not your usual National Trust grand country estate, but just as fascinating. The gardens are lovely and there is a small tea room. Really worth a visit.
