Wonderful old church, located about half way between the train station and the town centre. Very well kept with a wealth of detail to see. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A rare historic gem, well worth a look if you are visiting Northampton.
Unfortunately no longer used, this church is beautiful. It's around 900 years old, with banded stone in parts. There are some wonderful carvings inside and out and Norman arcades. It is grade I listed and well worth a look.
Built in 1070,I have always loved this Church and I was saddened that it was placed out of commission in the 90s. I recently tracked down the keyholder and managed to have plenty of time inside, alone in peace and it really was a wonderful experience.
