Have walked through Pannett park many times and different seasons. A real Oasis within the bustling town centre of Whitby. Secluded places, flowers trees and ponds. Plus a vibrant modern well maintained toddlers play park. A art gallery adds to the pleasures, and its free with a good selection of paintings.
This well maintained park with gardens ,recreation area for children, museum ,Quakers burial area....is a place of interest relaxation whatever you want it to be ....as well as historic interest. Pannet was a very wealthy and generous man who left this land to Whitby.....with a condition that it was used for what it now to be enjoyed....not to be built... 更多
Just what a tranquil place just to step away from the hustle and bustle of life in ze fast lane easy access from all entries for all entrents comes in choose one of many benches and njoy...They is also a muscium if that takes ya fancy and also a kiddy park for the brave little one's and big one's again... 更多
A lovely park, easily accessible to all, with good pathways, plenty of seating and with good views. Containing the Museum and Art Gallery within it's area, the park has many interesting aspects.......geology.....tree-carvings etc. Very good info. boards.
The park is in the middle of the old town and surrounded by grand old houses that date from Victorian and earlier Whitby . From the top of the hill near the museum and art gallery there are views of the harbour and surrounding countryside . A lovely quiet place to walk away from the busy streets but not for... 更多
Pannett park is well kept and a nice place to just stroll around if that is what you like doing,although is quite hilly in places. If you have children then they can be amused in the play area up by the museum !
Beautiful park to stroll through, with lots of wildlife and various points of interest. It also contains the Whitby Museum and a childrens playground.
Walked in the park it was so pretty peaceful very clean and well kept another little gem in Whitby. At the time of our visit only saw another 3 couples,but it was late afternoon.This land was donated many years ago for the people of Whitby for the purpose it's still used for.
This is a wonderful slightly hilly park that is very easy to walk around. It is slightly out of the way but is well worth a visit. We have been to Whitby on several occasions and never visited until this year. This is a park that we will visit when we next return to Whitby. It will only take about... 更多
