Another must go location in Norwich. The small chapel offers peace and fulfilment and what is particularly poignant is the small chapel off to one side where Julian had her visits and recorded her meditations.
A lovely place although a little difficult to find although I wouldn't advise visiting on a Sunday as the Julian centre is closed so I wasn't able to peruse or purchase any publications. I was a tad disappointed at this but I will be back again.
This little church is beautiful. It is small and very compact, well cared for with a centre of information next door. She was a lady we admired for her objections to traditional man made church dogma. It's so good she is remembered with such a lovely place to visit. She needs greater celebration in history because she put together the... 更多
A quiet contemplative place, reflecting its inspiration. It is what one hopes for when visiting a place of of spiritual resonance. This is where you can explore one of the more joyful sources of the tradition of mysticism in the West. We felt welcome by the person at the Center and found it to be just the right tone.
This is a truly spiritual and relaxing place to visit. It is steeped in history and has existed in Norwich for a long time as a special place for pilgrims. Julian's cell is so peaceful especially for troubled souls.
Just a short walk, up St Julian's Lane from Dragon's Hall, is where you'll find the Church of St Julian, also known as St Julian's Shrine. The church looks as if it has stood since the Medieval times. A church has stood on the site since before the conquest (1066), however after being badly damaged during the blitz of 1942... 更多
I went to this place, as i was interested in the story that a famous love story was written a long time ago by the Nun St Julian, who was here, a quaint place, peaceful and a small gift shop to browse round.
This is tucked away but worth finding. Although much of the building is a rebuild after war damage, you can still get the feeling of what St Julian's life might have been like. It is a very peaceful place to visit.
I was brought here by a friend who has been a frequent visitor to this spiritual place. The atmosphere enables you to relax and sit in quiet contemplation. Wonderful to have this quiet refuge to come to in the city centre
