Pretty basic, and not much to see when it isn't open. However, the restoration that has been conducted is pretty amazing and there is a nice little children's park adjacent if you've brought toddlers along too. An integral part of Brixton's history.
About 15 walk from Brixton LUL, or there are buses running up Brixton hill (about 3 stops). I booked online for the 2pm free tour of the windmill. Tucked away near Brixton Prison the 200 year old Windmill is well worth a visit. On the day I visited I was lucky enough to witness the first public flour grinding since 1934.
