After circling the parliament buildings during rush hour including taking pictures from the Westminister Bridge and walking along Abingdon Street, there was this nice quiet park with benches facing the Thames. Beautiful.
This beautiful little park located at the north bank of the river Thames and south of the Houses of Parliament, offers some great views along the bank and a nice opportunity for a little rest in its wonderful green surroundings.
This relatively small garden is run by the Royal Parks. It has beautiful memorials to freedom such as The Burghers of Calais by Rodin. Also there is a cafe, a childrens playground and views of the Thames. It is a lovely spot to get away from the masses of tourists.
Today we had walked a lot to see all the tourist sites Trafalgar Square, the change of guards at Buckingham Palace, Parliament, the Supreme Court, Westminster Abbey, the Thames. Then we came upon this little park with shadow in the hot sun. Nice views. But as tourists one thing we all look for is a clean toilet. We found one... 更多
So the interests are simple but really well done...a musical step board, a fountain that makes rivers, climbing beams, a spinning disk to make children say "whee!" and give parents nausea. Seemed like kids of any age loved it, but not so much that there were hoards of children climbing everywhere and you couldn't pull them away to continue your... 更多
This little park is just beside the houses of Parliament and I was surprised to find a Rodin statue "Burghers of Calais" here. It was a very hot day when we visited and my feet were sore from pounding the streets sightseeing so it was lovely to feel the grass beneath my feet.
The park is located right next to the Parliament's Victoria Tower, being a perfect location, as you can relax and admire in the same time the magnificent sourroundings. As a bonus you can find here Rodin's famous sculpture, "The Burghers of Calais" and the Buxton Memorial Fountain and also a playground for children.
The Victoria Tower gardens are not large but are well worth visiting for the superb views one gets over the River Thames, Westminster Bridge and the London Eye. The entrance is alongside Westminster Palace near the Black Rod's Garden Entrance to the House of Lords). It would not take ,long to walk around the area but one take take great... 更多
This is a small green park at the back of Westminster for a peaceful view of the Rivber Thames. There is a small statue in the park and the park runs along the river.
I was here in March 2016 looking for somewhere to spend 10 minutes eating my sandwich in peace. Victoria Tower Gardens is the place. It's just a few minutes walk from the Houses of Parliament; go to the opposite end to Big Ben and enjoy some time in the reasonably sized area of grassland. There is enough room for little... 更多
