the hustle and bustle is always on the south bank, so many miss a trick of not walking over one of the bridges...maybe not from tower bridge, if ur u good at power-walking...but people-watching from the north is amazing...and you get to see the amazing belly of blackfriars...up close and personal with cleopatra and a few river boats too...the pavement... 更多
We started our walk from Parliament House to Victoria Embankment. It was a sunny afternoon and the view of London Eye was a perfect background for our pictures. We kept on walking till Cleopatra's Needle.
What a lovely walk alongside the Thames - even in that short distance you can see so many iconic landmarks. Start at Waterloo bridge and take photos as you go all the way up to Big Ben.
Nice walk back to Westminster area, fairly quiet on a Sunday afternoon with views along the river. Looking up and away from the river there are interesting quirks on the skyline arcitechture.
This is a great walk and not too busy except when approaching a Westminster. It's quite level which makes walking easy. It follows the river and there's lots to see from the lovely buildings through to the London Eye and the numerous river boats. Give it a go.
It is a lovely, scenic stroll from Westminster to Blackfriars with nice view and great atmosphere, especially in the evening. There are numerous monuments to see along the way, a great park to have a rest and various street performers for fun...
I walked along Victoria Embankment to get from Westminster to Blackfriars and enjoys it as there was so much to see along the way. It's only a twenty minute walk too and so much better than using the tube.
I agree that it's a beautiful place to stroll during the daytime, but for me, I've always loved walking the Embankment area at dusk into the early evening. The buskers are out and interesting music fills the air. The lights are starting to come on, illuminating the Eye and Big Ben. Best time for photographs! If you can catch one... 更多
