As members it was free so can't say if its worth the money. But if its this or the over priced near by Cathedral than it wins hands down. Visited Lincoln many times over the past years but was totally unaware of this until a friend told me about it. The place is fantastic, and the views south over the city below are incredible.

Visited the Bishops Palace for the first time at the Medieval Christmas Market, it was absolutely amazing. Wonderful gift ideas, wonderful atmosphere, delicious mulled wine. Will definitely visit again.
I've visited Lincoln Cathedral many times, but this was my first visit to the Medieval Bishop's Palace. I was suitably impressed, particularly as the Palace has the Cathedral for a backdrop and the building itself is very photogenic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a look if you're up Steep Hill!
It was a bonus to find this was English Heritage as we are members. Unfortunately we had limited time so found some of the audio irritating as it had supposed people from the time atlking about events before talking about the actual location that I really wanted to know about.
