Excellent views across the Medway, Has the Navel Memorial on site, well worth a visit and a good walk down to Fort Amherst which is a great tourist attraction
Absolutely lovely, great cast open space to walk and enjoy Blows away the cobwebs on a windy fresh day :) A great walk for anyone With bench seats here and there to take a rest and enjoy the view. Great open space for local people to picnic and walk!
Great to be among huge green lung overlooking the River Medway, Chatham and Rochester. Recently had walking links open up to connect with Fort Amhurst so can either walk down from the Heritage Park to the fort or vice versa.
..... unless you know Chatham its quite difficult to get a feel of this place, as a recreation ground its quite bland but as a place of history, I cant give it enough stars great place for exploration especially if you get down to the lower lines, lots of little nooks and crannies of places.
A lovely green open space to have a walk and escape the busy, urban lifestyle in Chatham town centre or other Medway towns. Fairly easy access points from Chatham and Gillingham/Brompton. However, LED lighting should be installed to improve visibility if you go there during the night and further installation of bins and benches.
This is really an grassy open space looking out over Chatham and not really a tourist attraction. It does however house the famous and impressive war memorial which is worth a visit. Perhaps unknown (and maybe worth illustrating) is that Chatham Football Club, once a top team, played matches on "The Lines" in the F.A. Cup alongside other matches. The... 更多
The main feature is the Naval Memorial. Other than that, it's basically a grassy field, with the occasional event to liven things up. Watch where you walk; not every dog walker picks up his pet's feces....
