worth a visit on the open evenings. sadly telescopes are often not useable so its often more about looking at science projects and the astronomical elements that have been prepared mainly by students, perfect for children
Came here on Friday evening and it despite the weather it was a fun few hours! The weather was very bad, raining and windy so we didn't get to go inside the pods and look through the telescopes as they had to close these. They did reopen within the evening but we didn't go back to them. Loved they lab... 更多
Fantastic site to learn all about stargazing from local astrophysics' undergraduates at the university. Their knowledge and enthusiasm really showed and the computers, labs, observatory and planetarium were well worth a visit. We didn't attend any talks but there were guest speakers in attendance. 3 young children were kept entertained without difficulty. We'd like to return on a clear night!
I was fortunate a while bach to be invited to the observatory on one of their open evenings. What a fantastic experience it was. We had a small lecture/talk before moving out into the evening to view the stars through the telescopes. Amazing.
