Dec 30 early evening: After the pengiuns, it was almost sunset time and we realised that we could not see the sunset from the Boulders Beach. So, after searching TripAdvisor, we made our way to the Scarborough beach. It is a bit of a drive from Boulders Beach - winding roads but worth it. This beach is kind of a... 更多
Scarborough beach is just right for everything. No shops, no distractions... pure beautiful nature and as it sits next to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, it has nothing but hills and mountains around it...you can look towards Misty Cliffs for another fantastic view. The beach will take about 20 mnutes to walk the length, depending on your speed of stroll... 更多
It is not a traditional Cape Town swimming beach, but is beautiful, has lovely walks at and behind the beach. The tranquility and views are superb. There are also very nice market stall-type shops where you can get gifts, fresh fruit, delicatessen and awesome bread. A few interesting restaurants will cater for most tastes.
this is one of the best beaches ever. Clean and safe with soft white sands. Like paradise. We took a lovely walk all along the best and could sit and watch the waves crash against the rocks. what a wonderful beach
After having a delicious lunch at the hub we walked the children on scarborough beach. The waves were big and it was cold but it was invigorating to be out in the fresh air before the rain came.
It is by far the most beautiful beach ever! All my photos get 5 star ratings and they are taken with iPhone. Breathtaking sunsets, gorgeous colours and even storms are a painting to appreciate.
Have fallen in love with this beach - absolutely stunning, beautiful clear water (just rather cold!) and soft white sand. The stuff of dreams... Would love to move close by in the future -- that's from the UK! That's saying something :)
This is a rough but tremendously beautiful beach. Popular with surfers and absolutely terrifying for parents with small kids (you can just imagine the rip curls!!!). Totally worth a visit, and a dip of the feet. Provided that it's not too windy, in which case the sand will turn to mini razors.
This is my favourite beach in Western Cape. It has a beautiful barren nature around it and small nice village. As it both has sand and cliffs, there is something for all tastes. For me it is the breathtaking beauty of the whole setting, the sand, the cliffs, the waves, the mountains that surrounds it and it is rarely fully... 更多
