We spent our time here for an hour. It had museum to look at. This castle used to be prison and in front of the castle had a very nice view of Rye. This is not the National Trust properties.
The gun garden is easily accessible next to the castle and is free access to the public. The guns are well maintained as are the small gardens and the views over the river are great. It's nice quiet place to sit and relax.

The tower is a great opportunity for photos. The view toward the sea is clear and panoramic. The entrance appears to provide easy access to visitors.

Small castle and museum which used to be the jail. The displays are very informative lots of information the views from the tower are lovely thought at first the entry charge at four pounds was a little steep so nearly gave it a miss but it was well worth it.
There is 2 entries for the Rye Castle Museum. The other is Ypres Tower. Made a review for that. Check that out! In a couple of words: Small, but interesting, fun for the family.
