Kemptown is a great little place to walk around, with a great variety of things to see and do in a limited space. Some very famous coffee shops. Several cabaret style adult shops/ theme bars of the night variety. Good choice of cheap 2nd hand shops ('charity stores'). Beautiful old Georgian church and several others too. Great feel and vibe loads going on all the time. Really like the A Bar and legends, which has a club in the basement. Lots of colourful characters. Enjoyed a fabulous Indian in pavels. Volkswagen railway. In the day the volks railway is nice. Great!
Kemptown is like a village within Brighton. If you are into vintage clothing, there are rich pickings of trendy independent boutiques and bohemian shops. The Kemptown side of the beach is quieter that the further side of the Pier (Brighton's best kept secret!) Brighton Kemptown is a great place to socialiseif for all ages it has a great variety of restaurants and has easy axcess to Brighton Marina which also has a great amount of shops and restaurants. Always busy, has a good mix of local and chain shops and a nice buzz at all hours. This is where you will see plenty of character and characters. The beach here is less busy on hot summer days and there are numerous pubs and clubs along Kemptown seafront
This is the area of Brighton for guest houses and smaller hotels. Plenty of pubs, shops and quirky architecture; church with association with Maria FitzHerbert (One time wife of Prince Regent).
Stayed at One Broad Street at the edge of Kemptown. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Easy access to the seafront and a short walk to town and the Laines
