A bit tricky to find. I have lived in Plymouth for years and never knew this treasure was there. Small but perfectly formed. Quiet and cool.
I stumbled across this wonderful little treat whilst having a stroll around the barbican! having lived near the city all my life its amazing how many little corners of this marvellous city are tucked away and are great when you find them. The garden is easily missed which makes it even more tranquil. can imagine it be lovely on a... 更多
Only found out about the gardens from reading other reviews about things to do in Plymouth. The gardens are easy to miss but head for the Shirley Valentines Tavern in New Street and it is on the opposite side of the road (sign post in the doorway) The gardens are a real hidden gem among all the buildings. Popped in... 更多
Many visitors and even Plymouth residents are unaware of this pretty oasis reached through a passageway from Southside Street. Water features, ornamental miniature flower beds, a covered bench and even a productive fig tree provide a contrast to the activity on the harbour or Barbican. Open during the day only.
A friend took me here last year and its a hidden place of peace, especially on a sunny morning. Its free to enter and you can sit and enjoy. Good fish and chips just around the corner.
This is and has always been my favourite place in Plymouth. Even when I was little, I would come here and read or draw or run around this place with my imagination going crazy. It's so calming and serene, hidden away and peaceful. My family call it little Italy because it's like an secret Italian garden in the middle of... 更多
I'd never have found this spot if I'd not been on a guided walk. Totally delightful little treasure of a spot, a peaceful place to relax in the middle of a busy city. And some historical interest too, especially the reused doorway and fireplace from long-demolished buildings
Always a pleasure to see the colour and presentation of this pretty little garden. If you have a stroll on the Hoe it doesn't take more than a few minutes to go and take a look.
A small garden that is secluded. Not well sign-posted so you have to look for it. Not much to see and very close to a cafe so not too quiet. Really in need of maintenance and some tidying up. Pop in if you have some time to kill
