Third time here for walk and food always been fairly good BUT Food this time we had crab cakes ( not cheap either ) can only explain as baby food in breadcrumbs Staff at the food order station ran out of large wine glasses so picked one out of the sink Unwashed wiped with a piece of towel and started... 更多
This pub could be seriously special because it's in a stunning location. I get the feeling though that the owners are complacent because the pub has no competition because of where it's placed and that's such a shame! Service was rather grouchy and the food was average at best. I also thought the food was seriously over priced. It is... 更多
Stopped at Fingle Bridge Inn whilst walking a route around the River Teign from Castle Drogo. Lovely location with good facilities and friendly staff. Idyllic location next to the river great for kids and dogs. The route from the castle is one of the prettiest in the area and relatively easy especially when completed in a clockwise direction.
Walked here from Sandy Park which is upstream. Lovely location with ample seating outside by the river Teign. Good selection of ales, lagers and cider. We didn't sample the food but it looked wholesome and the numerous other customers looked like they were enjoying it. Dogs are allowed in the bar which is always a plus for us.
Park here to enjoy a beautiful walk along the river then drop into the pub for a drink and food. We sat outside by the river for a well deserved drink.

"Homemade" maybe but microwaved before serving. We had pie, meat was dry, pastry awful due to it being microwaved. Lasagne was ok. Staff friendly. Such a shame as this place could be a gold mine!
We visited the pub last month during the week. Whilst the service was good the food was awful. Bland, microwaved to death, dry, tasteless. My spinach and feta tart was tasteless and had hardly any feta in. The pie was dry, veg overcooked, basic curry with watery rice. We won't be back any time soon.
As the title of the review suggests this place is in an amazing location. Lots of outside seating with a lovely view of the bridge, gambolling splashing dogs and river. The food was a varied in its tastiness 6.7 out of 10 for the veggie option and 5 for the ham egg and chips. The inside is pretty canteen sixties... 更多
