I stopped here often on my days in Tintagel and sometimes on the way in or out--I took the local bus about the town. The ladies of the center were friendly helpful and we had many a pleasant conversation on the area. There are many things to see and a gift shop with local items and lots of books and... 更多
I parked in the lot adjacent to the Visitors Centre on my recent visit to Tintagel, for a 5 hour stay in the village, & never having been there before, was glad to step inside. It was certainly what most seasoned travelers might expect of such a place, what with various brochures highlighting area attractions like Tintagel Castle or King... 更多
Called in on way walking through the town. Quite a bit of information around but the staff weren't exactly forthcoming with greetings or assistance. Very few people there but they were discussing their own affairs rather than being proactive with the visitors. A case in point - we know about the castle of course and the post office - but... 更多
Full of interesting books, maps, souvenirs, and very helpful volenteers who are able to answer your questions, and give helpful advice to find what you asked for all done with a friendly smile.
Tintagel Castle offered a great day out. Plenty to see and do but plenty of steps to climb! Cafe offered good options for drinks and food.

If you need advise about how to get to Tintagel Castle do not ask at the Visitors Centre. The ladies there, though obviously well-meaning, are quite clueless. I remembered about the jeeps going from the village down to the castle entrance and back from a previous visit but could not recall where to get these. So the obvious thing was... 更多
The centre is a nice airy building with a great history of Tintagel. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and could help and give advice on local amenities, bus services and would go out of their way to help you.
