Absolutely lovely place to visit unfortunately we could not go on the beach and in merlins cave I think there was a problem with 1 of the cliffs as there was abseilers working on 1 of them and all the rocks were falling on the beach. but never mind we will go back and have another go
Whilst visiting Tintagel Castle, be sure to wait the short time for the tide going out far enough to check out Merlin's Cave. It is full of atmosphere and evokes the spirit of the King Arthur legend perfectly with it's crashing waves and dark depths.
great place to visit children liked clambering on the rocks you have to be careful of the tide coming in if on the rock that is in the centre of the beach
