The seafront promenade at Falmouth enables almost anyone to enjoy a level walk. The scenery is beautiful and I'm lucky enough to live close enough to enjoy it frequently. There are plenty of benches and it provides a great place for spending as long or as short a time there as you want.
Enjoy the watching the activity of one of the deepest natural harbours in the world. I enjoy imagining and learning about its rich seafaring history. Great place for an after dinner stroll or wait for a boat to go up river or just across to st. Mawes.
The wind was against us so it was nippy but that did not stop us enjoying the views.There are benches and places to sit and enjoy a backup lunch whilst watching the boats bobbing around on the water.
Spent a pleasant hour strolling along the promenade and a mixed afternoon. It was good to be back and nice to see the upkeep of the promenade is kept up.
From the Marina, along the river into town, to the Docks, up over the top to Castle point and down past Castle Beach along the front to Gyllingvase Beach then up and over to Swanpool. Wow, what a varied walk and views. So much to take in including views to Flushing, Mylor, the Docks, the Castles, the bay and beaches... 更多
