This museum encapsulates the story of the First Nations struggles in the latter parts of the Victorian era and the main part of the 20th century. It made one realize how poorly the race was treated in these time. Excellent displays and a good history lesson
This museum is first rate . The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful . The museum is not large but has so much on display you cannot grasp it all at one time. It truly is a place the band can be very proud of !!
This was a virtual candy store for anyone interested in First Nations art. The treasures were numerous and well displayed, especially considering the small space. We found the museum culturally enriching on the First Nations People of this area. The different symbols of their spirituality was educational and thought provoking and their craftsmanship was amazing . It is evident that a lot of thought and planning went into the layout and displays in the museum and I found the staff most informative and enlightening.
What an amazing place. So much information and exhibits, it was too much to take in. I found everythjng fascinating and the informarion provided by the exhibits was excellent. Thank you.
Last summer we went to the celebration to bring home totems of their ancestors. It was so very lovely and well organized. The food that they served was outstanding. You must visit this museum! It is so lovely. After the museum, visit James Pottery at the end of Joyce Road. Their work will dazzle you eyes:)
If you have any interest in the history of Quadra and neighbouring islands in Quadra this is well worth a visit. After visiting we decided to follow up with a visit to Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver. Starkling and shocking history of the local First Nation people. Wonderful art and culture. Very small but a visit helps to maintain this... 更多
This museum is well organized and has an interesting array of cultural and artistic artifacts. It does an excellent job explaining the tribe's culture and their recent history. The range of artifacts is broad and they are well explained. We were very happy we took the time to visit.
Have been here a few times over the years and it is on my must see list for anyone visiting the area. Some insight into the amazing arts, crafts, wisdom and skills of this culture. Thank you for sharing
