Stellar exhibits that cover a wide range of topics. Of particular interest in the maritime and family histories of this area. Our grandson was keen on the butterfly collection.

This museum was closed when we arrived, but on two consecutive days they opened up for us and allowed us to see an exhibit I had read about - the famous .22 Cal rifle owned by Ed "Dirty Socks" Anderson who killed five black bears on five consecutive shots. Lots of great local exhibits. Friendly staff.
Really neat museum. My wife and I visited on a weekend and were impressed at the depth and variety of exhibits on display. From 10,000 year old Aboriginal stone tools to teacher contracts from many decades earlier, there was lots to take in. This is a wonderful little museum. The upstairs has beach comber memorabilia from the television show, an interesting logging section, house section with kitchen, bedroom, sitting room etc, there's an amazing butterfly collection and all sorts of interesting things to check out.
very small, but good to visit with children. all about the good old time. very interesting. many things children haven't seen in there home.
