Excellent for kids. Went to the barn to see the calves. You taste the cheeses. They have three varities. The also sell milk they some recipe books and other gift items.
These people make awesome cheeses very much like switzerland their cows are free roaming you can see them right up at the fence near the sales office. I have not found one cheese i don’t like and the owners are wonderful
This artisan dairy offers up organic, locally-crafted cheeses, milk and cream right at farm gate. The shop has limited hours but products are also available at a number of place in the town of Creston. A farm visit is worth the extra time if possible. The proprietors are some of the nicest people on the planet!

Staff at Skimmerhorn Winery suggested a visit to Kootenay Alpine Cheese Company. It will now be an annual stop on our wine and apple buying trip to Creston. Their Alpin had all the flavors of a summer meadow (in a good way)and their Grana really tastes like a good Padano. Wonderful cheese and worth a visit.
On our first trip to Creston, we saw the Kootenay Alpine Cheese Co. in the tourism magazine and decided to see what it was all about.
