This is a great place to walk your dog or stroll with friends and family. The dyke winds along the Fraser river with wonderful views of the mountains, eagle nests, local fisherman and of ourselves all the local boat traffic. Great outing for the family.
It is a lovely walk along the river. The paths are clear and the deck area gives a beautiful view of the river. It is dog friendly however some owners let them run free. Just off the Lougheed, this quiet walk is very close to town, but far enough to be peaceful. The walk takes you along Kanaka to the Fraser. It is a bit short for my liking, but lots of places to stop and enjoy nature. Wheelchair and walker accessible.

One of the best places for a quiet stroll beside the Fraser River. Easy access from the main highway. Popular spot for dog walking and can be a little crowded on weekends. Have seen the occasional bear in late Spring or early Summer but never had any problems.
