This is the last free standing Tipple for coal in North America. If your interested in learning about Canadian history, this is the place to go. The staff are so informative, you can go for a ride in a real working coal car & then watch a small video describing life in the Drumheller valley back when coal was king.

Great site to visit-very informative -a bit of walking, amazing interactive guide, gets a little high on parts when you go up to the top-not great for anyone afraid of heights and small spaces.

The train tour was kid-oriented, so for me it maybe wasn't the *best*, but it was still fun nonetheless & if you have kids, they'll probably love it.

We stopped here along the many attractions to see in this area. Historic sites are always very interesting to stop and see. This one didn't disappoint.

What an amazing place, a must see for the history buffs. It was off-season, there were only a few other visitors around so it was like we had the place to ourselves. We were amazed at all the displays. I always find it fascinating to have a glimpse into what the hard working folks of the past endured and what... 更多

Very friendly staff invited our family to come and take a walk around the grounds and have a look through the exhibits that were still open and accessable to the public, even though they no longer offered their tours and couldn't actually go into the mine itself. Enjoyed looking around and getting a feel of what life was like back... 更多

Very friendly staff, we arrived close to closing which did not effect their attitudes. It is interesting to walk freely among the old homes and mining machinery.

We spent over three hours at the Atlas Coal Mine taking their set of tours and it was time really well spent. They offer three tours (A train ride around the site, an underground journey up to the mine entrance, and a tour of the wood tipple) that flow into each other nicely. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and excited... 更多

Good place to visit in the summer. Cost to go on the tours and if you are afraid of tunnels and mining areas not for you. You can walk around however and see a bit.
