We seek out small museums when we travel and this one is first rate. From the antique "Donkey engine " outside to the display of original native art and tools and the fantastic narrated legend theatre with illuminated masks it was all done to perfection. There is a fair amount of reading re: the full display cases but treat yourself... 更多
Very informative, specially in reference to the Aboriginal Origins on the West Coast. Excellent presentation, beautiful location, and well staffed. A
Impressive museum with a couple of world class displays. Revisit history in the theatre featuring the destruction of much of Ripple Rock and the impressive display/presentation of carved First Nations' masks.
I have family in Campbell River. I make a point of visiting the museum every time I go. It's small, but it has an amazing collection of artifacts and information regarding the history of the area--fishing and logging industries, the First Nations people--including an incredible First Nations mask display with an interesting story to tell. It's very unique and informative.... 更多
This place is so full of things to look at you have to examine every nook and cranny. The aboriginal mask display is amazing. They also have short videos in a theatre setting about interesting facts around town.

Visiting Campbell River for the weekend and stopped in at the local museum on a whim. Glad we did, exhibit on logging locomotives was awesome, very well laid out and very informative. Professional and polished, not what we expected for a small town museum !!!
gives a indepth view into the history and the development of the city of Campbell River! charming staff and very well established historical scenes arranged in different rooms of the museum.
lots of interesting facts and the tour of the boat was really interesting. Enjoyed out time. Place was quiet so it felt like we had the museum all to ourselves.
