Had a couple of hours there just relaxing after having been on the road travelling for several days. It was a delightful setting with the blue winged teal ducks there who desperately wanted to share our picnic!!
Beautiful place but can get very busy in the summer. There is a camping area nearby, which is really lovely. Its quiet and very shady, the campsite. Around the lake, its very peaceful but few times it had been busy.
This is a free provincial park with a fabulous little beach for the kids to play on. Water is always shallow and warm and there are spots for camping within walking distance. No reservations here so first come first serve. Rates are great for camping as it is provincial park and the lake and day use areas are free.
We decided to come for lunch. We stopped at the lake first. There were people fishing, ducks swimming, & people laying on the grass enjoying the scenery. With the autumn leaves in full colour it was a nice place for a picture or 2. We then went up to the campground to build a fire. Each camping spot had a... 更多
Jimsmith Lake has quickly become our favourite campground. It's quiet, well-run, affordable ($23 a night) and relaxing. It truly is camping, as there is no power to sites and the bathrooms are outhouses. These bathrooms and drinking water taps are spread throughout the campground. Generators are only allowed to run for a few hours each day, making for a peaceful... 更多
It was fairly windy the day we went and a little chilly, not a lot of people in the water, but it was a beautiful view and we had fun watching the ducks parade around. There's a nice grassy area to hang out on and some trails and some picnic tables. We had a picnic lunch, but passed on going... 更多
My friends and I hit up Jimsmith Lake after most of us had spent the day crossing the country from all corners to convene in Cranbrook for a reunion. We were there shortly before dusk, and the water was perfect. The sun was starting to go down over the mountains as we swam, and it couldn't have been a better... 更多
A small lake just outside of Cranbrook swimming, sailing paddleboarding with a nice campground and picnic area. Many trails lead out of the park for hiking and exploring.
