Very knowledgable about the history of Nelson, we enjoyed it a lot. The art exhibits, in my opinion were lame and not worth the time to look at them.
Can't say it's a bad museum per say, but I would have liked it to be more interactive. It wasn't my favourite, but it was a great way to spend about an hour I guess. Overal my group liked it, but it was not my personal favourite.
I only had about 30 minutes on my hands but my quick visit to Touchstones was worth the $8 admission. I was fascinated by the displays, movies, and facts that I learned at the museum. On top of the museum the gallery always has very unique and enticing art. The staff are also very genuine, kind, and welcoming.
Doesn't have a lot in terms of exhibits, though upstairs has some interesting displays on aspects of local history. There are also a couple of galleries with changing displays, usually by local/area artists, which can be quite good.
