The hike to the upper and lower falls is worth your time. Path is well maintained and easy to walk on. The upper falls were our favourite and you can walk a loop to see both the upper and lower falls. There are stairs and some inclines but you would not need hiking shoes for this hike.
Both falls are just captivating! Many viewing points are available all around both falls, with good trails. Even the bridge over the upper falls is picture worthy. The lower falls trail isn't long, but drops way down to the river and may be hard on the knees for some. If you need a more gradual trail, start at the upper... 更多
Saw the signs for this place on our way to Tofino. Stopped to check out the falls. It is free and there is lots of parking and bathroom facilities. Not that long of a hike to find great views of waterfalls. Would not recommend it for pushing strollers or wheel chairs. There is also bike trails in some areas of... 更多
We visited the lower falls as we were short of time. There is a short path down to the falls which are very pretty, but in my opinion it's not a must do. There are so many beautiful things to see and do that a lovely little spot like this finds it hard to compete. Nice stop nevertheless
Just off Alberni Highway is a surprising treasure near Nanaimo: a gorgeous waterfall. There is ample, paved parking, covered picnic area (because it could literally rain at any given moment on the island), sufficient washrooms, easily-discerned trail markers, and well-maintained trails. For the most part, the young and old alike could easily navigate the paths. I'm a distance runner, but... 更多
We stopped here not knowing really what to expect - we discovered a series of waterfalls cutting a canyon through the terrain, and a hiking trail linking bridges at the top and bottom. It was a great little stop off and an unexpected pleasure
We stopped in here on the way from Tofino to Courtenay. Plenty of parking, toilets and picnic benches. We had a picnic lunch here then walked the trails to both upper and lower falls - a rally pleasant way to spend a few hours.
