Easy hike, free parking, washrooms near by, can see the Mars Bombers across the lake and the petroglyphs are extremely well preserved. Worth a visit.
There is a short (1/2 mile) walk to get o the petroglyphs, you then walk onto a pontoon tethered to the lake shore to see the petroglyphs. Definitely worth the walk.

An easy 1k round trip to the petroglyphs is well worth the walk. They're an incredible bit of history, and so easily accessible. I used it as an opportunity to break up the long drive to Tofino. Sproat lake offers great picnic areas and swimming too - definitely a great spot for a lunch break.
Not for everyone but if you appreciate First Nations culture and cool stuff, the petroglyphs are worth the short walk. Also check-out the ones in Nanaimo!!

Well worth a stop over for all ages. Swimmer's itch can be a problem; follow the information posted on the signs and use... 更多
