A winding mountain road takes you up to the trails surrounding the meadows. An easy hike thru some really nice scenery and up to the lookout where you can see for miles. Bring bug juice tho as they can be brutal.
The road up to the meadows is a twisting and windy paved road from the which the views just get bigger and bigger as one drives up. It is only a short walk from the shuttle drop off to the old Fire Tower Lookout at the summit and the views are fabulous. We visited mid August and although the wildflowers... 更多
Spend the day or camp over night, at the Meadows in the Sky Parkway, its well worth it! Countless hiking trails, look outs, historical information and stunning views! Make sure you take your camera!!!
After driving up the mountain we came to the car park and unfortunatly no shuttle bus was running. It was really cold but we decided that we needed the walk and we are so glad we went. The scenery was amazing even on a cold dull day and it is certainly a place I want to come back.
The area has beautiful views, it is clean & well maintained. The trails are well marked & were safe to travel. Parking is limited at the top so we would recommend going early & don't forget to take bug spray
You must do this when in Revelstoke, even if you can't do the hike to the top, there are plenty of other walks plus a shuttle service to get you half way to the top. Glorious scenery, we were lucky as the autumn leaves were turning. Make sure you check closing times though as the road in and out is... 更多
Seriously, we did not encounter any, although a couple of juvenile bears were strolling around the area the day before. The Park Rangers do a great job informing visitors about the area and the bears! We took a shuttle bus up the mountain and wandered along the different trails. Since we visited in late September, the meadows were lovely, but... 更多
Lots of talk about bears, but no sightings. The road takes about 30 minutes with switchbacks but is not scary (I can be a nervous Nally on mountain roads). From the parking lot, take the shuttle to the top and walk a few looping trails, take a photo at the red chairs and walk back down. Elevation about 6300 feet.
This parkway is a great way to get to the top of a mountain without hiking. 6360 feet at summit. We drove slowly up to each viewpoint. Unfortunately the rain and clouds came in and by the time we reached the top we could not see anything but it was still worth it. You park nearly at the top and... 更多
We were surprised that this beautiful area was not more prominent in the Revelstoke Visitor Guidebook available at the Visitor's Centre. We found it on our second day, quite by accident. Lots of hikes to go on of varying lengths and difficulty and breathtaking views.
