I was super excited to visit the museum. They have two hangars packed with planes. They had to build a second just to accommodate their growing collection, but I can see that they will probably need a third soon. We were shown around the museum by a tour guide. There is a good collection of aircraft in the museum, along with volunteer tour guides. We have "Badger" as our guide, who, as a retired RCAF jet jockey, was very knowledgeable, and was happy yo tell us all about the various exhibits. A most enjoyable few hours.
This place is more than I expected! Lots of airplanes on display, starting from the early 1900s to 1970s. Lots of various airplane engines, flight simulators, radar equipment, etc. on display as well. A highlight for me was a 1950s-1970s retired Air Canada (back then was Trans-Canada Airlines) Vickers passenger plane. You could walk around it, see the cockpit, etc.... 更多
