Makes Truro unique and provides a bit of history of the people who have played important roles in the town.Have lost a few due to age and weather,still fun to wander around and come upon the remaining sculptures.
These are quite interesting. The carvers did a good job but I must admit they are all showing their age. At one time they were quite the carving feat.
I went to Truro to find the tree statutes. The information booth was very helpful in giving an idea where they were located. They did say that there were only 3 or 4 left as they were starting to rot out and many needed to be taken down. I could see at the bottom of them that the roots were... 更多
We always enjoy looking at these sculptures as they are huge and well made. It gives Truro a little something else to the community as you walk around.
