This is a great day hike. It is about 6 hours return taking your time. Spectacular water fall at the end of the trail.
This is a beautiful trail that ends up at a waterfall. We had an outdated book that was written before the 2013 floods and found that we could not ride our bikes the full 4km before reaching the rest of the path. We had to leave our bikes before the bike rack but that was not a problem. A nice... 更多
We rented bikes from the local shop in the Village, Kananaskis Outfitters. The trail is easy for beginner mountain bikers but very fun. We took a little detour over to check out Troll Falls. The area is so beautiful and the trails were not busy.
We've done this trail a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. The elevation gain is reasonable and gradual, and although the path was washed out in 2013 it's been re-built and is no longer a problem. Keep an eye out for the various wildflowers as you walk the trail. The trail is well-marked and you cannot get lost.... 更多
Five of us hiked to Ribbon Lake. Other than the first ~1K that was devastated in the June 2013 flood and is therefore rerouted on a boring ski trail, this is a very pleasant and interesting hike along Ribbon Creek to Ribbon Falls (nice), even better with good elevation gains and an easy scree slope to the infamous chains, and... 更多
Nice trails, excellent photography along the way. Avoid during Victoria Day. Too many people. Otherwise safe, perhaps a bear but nothing aggressive in my view.
We hiked Ribbon Creek Trail at the beginning of Aug 2015. We started are hike to Ribbon Falls around 9pm, and ended up hiking the last half in the dark. We took the partially washed out trail along Ribbon Creek, and the start of the trail took some extra navigating including crossing the creek on fallen timber. But after the... 更多
Did this hike starting at South Buller pass, so a pretty full day from there to Kananaskis lodge area. The ribbon creek / falls is quite spectacular. We can down the famous chains. Not too scary on most of it. Just hold on and essentially walk yourself down. But I wouldn't want to do in the rain or going up,... 更多
We planned on taking this trail and then continuing to ribbons falls. When we arrived the original trail had been destroyed by the 2013 floods however you could start out at the terrace trail and connect further to the Ribbon Creek trail. We mapped our hike and it took about 4.5 hours in and out. The signs list the hike... 更多
This is a hike worth doing. At the 10 km mark you will reach a waterfall. You can camp there or hike back. There is a trail that continues on with chains to climb up a rock face, and higher campgrounds. Beautiful and worth the views.
